COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

A community project. Nof Yam neighborhood, Herzliya.

An initiative of the multidisciplinary entrepreneur and designer Maya Shapir Aloni.

 

The purpose of the project was to turn an unused public shelter into a youth club for the children of the Nof Yam neighborhood. From a neglected shelter we have turned the space into an area full of color, furniture and many activities.

The renovation of the shelter was in full cooperation with the children of the neighborhood. The children took part both in the design of the space and in the building of the furniture from the various materials.

The colors chosen were happy and colorful for a pleasant and relaxed feeling among the children and residents of the neighborhood.
